Finally meeting up with Theo, Alex, and Charles from RBW, one of the U.S.'s most innovative lighting designer studios this week. I'll be looking at some new work, hopefully lots of lighting, and their show lounge, an installation for the AD home show.

This year at the AD HOME show March 22-25, there are a number of exciting initiatives including the launch of reFRESH, a show-within-a-show dedicated to premium kitchen, bath and building products, a curated Fabric Exhibition, the MADE section of juried one-of-a-kind exhibitors, as well as the popular Show Lounge desiged by Rich, Brilliant, Willing where they will have the U.S. launch of the Ploum sofa by the Bouroullec brothers for Ligne Roset.

"Axel Bender Madsen (1916-2000) qualified as a cabinet maker in 1936 and graduated from Kunsthåndværkerskolen in 1940. He went on to Kunstakademiets Møbelskole and worked for Kaare Klint and Arne Jacobsen, respectively, from 1940-1943. He was also employed in FDB's architect department as Børge Mogensen's assistant but from 1947 he established his own design studied together with Ejnar Larsen (1917-1987)." (here)

Ligne Roset and Rich, Brilliant, Willing partnered together for the first time at the 2011 Armory Show in New York City. The team paired high-end Ligne Roset furnishings with found construction grade materials for the temporary space, and in less than 48 hours the installation evolved into life!
