Black to Comm, here.
(inspired by and a half blog, here.)
soon to be released on the incredible label, TYPE. here.
Marc Richter AKA Black To Comm is preparing for a November release of his latest LP Alphabet 1968.
"World music, techno, noise, avant-garde, ambient music and even exotica." That's quite a stylistic roll-call but is apparently what's set for inclusion on Dekorder label head Marc Richter's Alphabet 1968. Recording under his long-running Black To Comm alias, Richter has composed a ten-track, 45 minute excursion into all of the above, intricately pieced together from hours of studio recordings. Homemade gamelan, acoustic instruments and scores of dusty vinyl loops were all said to have been employed for the record's creation. Richter is perhaps more readily associated with his drone compositions for imprints such as Digitalis and Trensmat, but this latest effort signals a self-proclaimed attempt to "write an album of 'songs.'"
