new work:
pachadesign......
Glenn Rushbrooke & Samantha Robb

"we like simple, uncomplicated design."

Every time Glenn Rushbrooke & Samantha Robb of pachadesign release a new piece, I get the urge to jump on a plane to visit their shop on the North Devon Coast. I imagine something of a Big Sur landscape: harsh, brutal, salty, and stunningly beautiful at dawn and dusk. Perhaps, I'll make it to visit them on my next trip to London! Until then, here are some images of their latest table + bench they have named kaiseki.

Also, look forward to an interview with Glenn and Samantha on YHBHS in the upcoming months. I'll get to ask them about their choice of materials, their design philosophy, and other design interests, and artisans that inspire them.

pachadesign are glenn rushbrooke and samantha robb. we are a design/make partnership based in welcombe on the north coast at the border of devon & cornwall, specialising in contemporary furniture & accessories from locally sourced reclaimed & natural resources. the word pacha, meaning green/pure, was chosen to represent our eco-friendly attitude & our passion for using materials often seen as waste. much of our work evolves from a simplistic approach to design and the materials that we use, combining pared down aesthetics with the japanese view of wabi sabi, beauty in imperfection.
